Alfa-Bank announces that Vladimir Verkhoshinskiy has been appointed its Chief Executive Officer. He will take the position on 1 August 2018, to address the challenging tasks set out in the Bank’s development strategy approved by the Board of Directors

He boldly launched the Bank’s change dynamics and, while remaining Chief Financial Officer, has secured the financial stability and high-level return for the Bank in the transition period. I wish Alexei further success in the position of Chief Financial Officer”.

Vladimir Verkhoshinskiy was born in Yakutsk in 1981. In 2003, he graduated from the Finance Academy under the Russian Government with a degree in Finance and Credit. He took Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Stanford University in 2008. He launched his career with ZAO Citibank in 2002 as compliance manager in Retail Customer Operations. Between 2003 and 2006 he was employed by McKinsey & Company Moscow office. In 2009, Verkhoshinskiy joined the VTB Bank team to take charge of corporate development and strategy issues as Managing Director. In 2012, he moved to the Bank of Moscow, which was being reorganized by VTB Group then. As the lender’s Vice-Chairman, he supervised the bank’s retail and small business development. In 2016, when the rehabilitation and integration of the Bank of Moscow with VTB was completed, he took charge of the VTB retail department. Verkhoshinskiy is a Member of VTB Management Board.
