Rinat Gainoulline

Kazakh Equity Strategist

Rinat graduated from the Moscow State Institute for Foreign Relations (MGIMO), where he majored in International Economic Relations, Middle Eastern Affairs and Arabic, in 1980. He also studied corporate finance at AIBEC and Islamic fund management at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance.

Rinat joined Alfa Bank’s Equity Research team in 1998. He has advised Alfa Bank’s management on issues related to Islamic equities and structured finance in Central Asia. Rinat helped develop the bank’s marketing efforts in the Gulf. His current responsibilities include fostering business relations between Kazakh companies and investors in the Middle East.
