On June 3, the Russian National Association of Securities Market Participants (NAUFOR) announced the results of the Elite of the Securities Market Awards (2009). The awards are the oldest and among the most respected in Russian finance. Alfa-Bank came out top in the Service Companies for Individual Investors category.

On May 27, LenSpetsSMU placed its first issue of commercial paper with the help of Alfa-Bank. The issue totals RUB2 bln, has a coupon rate of 14.5% per annum, and matures in three years with no put option.
