Joined Alfa-Bank in 2007. From 2007 to 2009 — Head of Investment Banking. From 2009 to 2011 — Co-head of Corporate and Investment Banking. From 2008 to 2011 — Member of Alfa-Bank’s Executive Board. In January 2012, according to Shareholders’ General Meeting Resolution elected Member of the Board of Directors at Alfa-Bank.

Before joining Alfa-Bank, from 2003 to March 2007, Edward Kaufman served as Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at UBS. In 1997-2003, worked for Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup), where he held executive positions in the London and Moscow offices. Prior to investment and banking business he was a strategic consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) specializing in financial institutions, energy generating companies and privatization.

Edward Kaufman graduated from Duke University with a BA in political science and Russian. He also holds an MA degree from the Josef Lauder Institute of Management at the University of Pennsylvania (1992), and an MBA in finance and strategic planning from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1992).
