Alfa-Bank and Oxford Said Business School Award for Excellence in Foreign Investment in Russia
The Award for Excellence in Foreign Investment in Russia, established in 2003, is awarded annually by Alfa-Bank and Oxford Said Business School to foreign firms that successfully conduct business in Russia, while at the same time contribute to a broader improvement in Russias business culture and society in general.
The firm has to meet the following three criteria:
- A significant positive impact on the community, demonstrated by the size of investment, number of jobs created, stimulation of other business opportunities and direct community involvement.
- An excellent record of responsible business practice in Russia, demonstrated by a commitment to transparency in business operations, environmental good practice and investment in the workforce.
- An ability and commitment to carry out operations in Russia for the long term, demonstrated by profitability, duration of operations in Russia and future business potential.
The Selection Committee for the Alfa-Bank Award for Foreign Investment in Russia includes: Petr Aven, President of Alfa-Bank; Yegor Gaidar, Economist and Politician; Dana Brown, University Lecturer in International Business at the Said Business School, Oxford; and Richard Burt, Senior Advisor for Kissinger McLarty Associates. The Past winners included Procter & Gamble (2003), Nestle (2004), United Technologies (2005), Deutsche Bank AG (2006), General Motors (2007), Intel (2008) and McDonalds (2009).
