Alfa-Bank has always supported charities, Russian culture, and the creation of development programmes for young talent.
The Bank is a member of the Corporate Club of WWF Russia (World Wildlife Fund) and a contributor to the Russian charity “Life Line” which aims to help seriously ill children. It has also founded the Alfa Chance Programme to support talented young people from Russias regions.
Alfa-Banks support for Russian national art is one of our proudest achievements. It is an honour for the Bank to collaborate with the Russian Museum (St Petersburg), Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow), and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (New York) in organising art exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
Alfa-Bank regularly provides financial support to Russian classical musicians, ballet dancers and opera soloists both well-known and new talents to perform in Russias regions and on the most famous European stages. The Bank has supported appearances by world-famous classical and pop artists in post-Soviet Russia, such as Bejart Ballet Lausanne, Romes Teatro dellOpera, Ray Charles, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Sting, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, and Phil Collins.
The Alfa Fellowship Programme is a new initiative of Alfa-Bank designed to provide direct, hands-on work experience in Russia for young professionals from the United States.
Throughout its history, Alfa-Bank has considered its reputation its most valuable asset. For this reason it was one of the first Russian companies to publish a Social report.
The fulfilment of the banks social policy is under personal leadership of Mikhail Fridman, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alfa Group Consortium, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alfa-Bank. Under his guidance, exciting new social policies have been adopted in all companies of the Consortium.

Alfa-Bank co-sponsored the sensational premiere “Unknown Rachmaninoff”, performed by Denis Matsuev with the participation of the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Liss.
The concert took place in London, Queen Elizabeth Hall, what is well known for all great musicians. “Unknown Rachmaninoff” performance of Denis Matzuev reflected a wonderful Russian talent with a deep and respectful history of classic music.

Alfa-Bank sponsored two concerts by rock group Aerosmith on 10 and 12 July in Moscow and St Petersburg. The shows formed part the Groups 2007 European tour.
It was Aerosmiths first visit to Russia.
